PSC BAGS THE INTERNATIONAL MASTER FRANCHISE OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR 7-ELEVEN.

Philippine Seven Corp. (PSC) was awarded the International Master Franchise of the Year in the recent 2006 Franchise Excellence Awards held at the Crown Plaza Galleria Manila. This gave the distinction to the 7-Eleven licensor in recognition for its continued leadership in the Retail Food-Large Scale Category. The award also recognized Phil. Seven Corp.’s efforts in building strong international strategic alliances; strengthening technical support, organizational structures and operating systems; and encouraging overseas Filipino workers and entrepreneurs to invest their money back into the country via a 7-eleven franchise stores. The annual Franchise Excellence Awards is an event jointly organized by the Philippine Franchise Association, the Department of Trade and Industry, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Philippine Retailers Association to single out the country’s outstanding franchising players and sets the benchmark of performance for others in the industry. This year’s FEA embraced the theme “Galing Pinoy, Worldclass Talaga!” and judged awardees based on growth indicators, franchise program, sales and marketing programs, franchise operating system, corporate social responsibility and ethical practices and reputation.
